These small paintings have been built up using multiple layers of acrylic, plaster, wax pastels, as well as oxidizing bronze and iron paints. Inspired by old walls and weathered finishes encountered on European travels, this diptych is heavily textural and subtly luminous. Rust, verdigris and hints of gold are present in these pieces that also have glimpses of magenta and blue.
