Thank you - PDXOS & PanCAN Fundraiser

I just wanted to post a quick note of THANKS! I can’t tell you how much I appreciated all of the many folks who came to visit and support me during Portland Open Studios earlier this month - it was wonderful to meet so many new people, to catch up with old friends, to be able to show you my work in person, and to walk you through the multiple steps I’ve been taking to “build” my mixed media paintings. Open Studios truly filled me up and I’m eager to participate again in 2023. If you were unable to make it but would like to visit, please let me know so we can make arrangements.

Thank you also for the generous outpouring of donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) - with the proceeds from the auction of my mixed media painting “Rest”, we’ve been able to raise nearly $4500 thus far in honor of our dear friend, Bill Madden, whom we lost last month to this disease. It’s not too late to donate if you are interested - you can find out more and access resources HERE.

Scott and I depart this week for memorial events for Bill in Florida, and then will spend the rest of November in Costa Rica visiting our son Lucas, with our son Charlie and his girlfriend, Anastasiya, flying in from NYC for the week of Thanksgiving. It will be the longest time I’ve spent away from my studio since I began making art full time in late 2019 - I’m sure I’ll be itching to return in December, but I’m very much looking forward to soaking up beautiful Playa Grande, Guanacaste [photo below was taken during our last visit in 2019], and enjoying spending time with family.

In gratitude,
