“Montage” at Lolo Pass - Sept. 1-29

Opening artists reception: Friday, Sept. 1st - 5-7pm
Interim artists reception: Thursday, Sept. 14th - 5-7pm

Montage, a collective art show featuring six Portland-area women artists, will be in the Lolo Pass Gallery through September. The artists share a common interest in the natural world with each offering a distinctive response: some translate their impressions into patterns, while others create abstract compositions with figurative elements. Together, their work is graphic and contemporary.

The artists believe that art is visual poetry that transcends discord and unites us in a common appreciation for beauty. They also want to draw attention to the transitory quality of the natural world and the importance of conservation.
As a group, the collection presents a multi-dimensional conversation that is engaging and compelling.

The mediums used in the exhibition include encaustic, oil, acrylic, charcoal, and mixed media.

Participating artists: Shannon Amidon @shannonamidon, Lauren Carrera @artbycarrera, Liz Dexter @liz.dexter,
Ruth Meijer @ruthmeijerpdx, Alexandria Oesch @alex.oesch.art, and Julie Rall @julierall.

Opening Artist Reception – Friday, Sept 1 – 5-7pm

Interim Artist Reception – Thursday, Sept 14 – 5-7pm

Open Daily 10am-6pm through Sept 29

Both receptions are free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
